It's known as the "first bridge" on an expressway linking Sichuan with Tibet, both in southwestern China. The Xingkang Mega Bridge is built in a high-altitude and earthquake-prone region. It has won the Gustav Lindenthal Medal, an award dubbed the "Nobel Prize of bridges."
