The BAP Pisco is a multipurpose LPD (Landing Platform Dock) vessel belonging to the Peruvian Navy, currently under construction at the SIMA Peru shipyards, which has been conceived and designed to carry out naval operations, troops and vehicles, as well as civic actions and humanitarian aid.

It was decided that the new ships would adopt the Makassar Class design pattern and commissioned the construction of SIMA in collaboration with South Korea's Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Company, which would provide design drawings, international certifications and assistance technique.

The main mission of BAP Pisco is to be a strategic projection vessel that allows the different operational forces to be deployed quickly and efficiently, as well as to carry out humanitarian and logistic support actions both within the national maritime domain or as part of a international task force to provide support in case of natural disasters.
